Do you have strong experience working within a fast-turn around daily news environment,
an understanding for the BBC Children's and Newsround audience and knowledge of how to make news content suitable and engaging for our young, diverse audience.
Ability to positively impact diversity through the course of a Production.
Demonstrable experience of planning and commissioning digital content for a range of platforms.
Previous experiencing of leading, managing and developing a team of Journalists and Journalism Researchers.
Ability to take a lead role in developing Newsround's social media strategy.
Have a working knowledge of optimising digital content for search (SEO)To lead a digital newsdesk, commissioning a range of on-day and next-day content that fits into Newsround’s editorial strategy
To produce daily TV bulletins, helping to grow Newsround’s audience, particularly in schools
May be required to lead the Planning area, taking responsibility for commissioning and planning content, as well as organising logistics
To lead on commissioned TV Specials or Digital specials, as required
To take a lead role in helping to develop Newsround’s social media strategy
Will be expected to lead on projects across a range of subjects – from development, production and training
Take an active role in developing Journalists and Research Journalists, which should involve line management duties and a creating a development plan
