RadioStar '26 — Global Radio Talent Contest | Entries Now Open

⭐ THE IDEA YEAR

If you have an idea, we want to hear it.

You don't need to be a radio person. You don't need experience. You just need an idea — and the passion to bring it to life.

This year, Radiostar is all about the pitch.

You don't need to be a radio person. You don't need to be a presenter. You just need an idea worth hearing.

Your idea must be designed for radio — a show, feature, format, segment, or moment that works on air. Something that fills the gap. Anything with spark.

You choose how to show it: Present it yourself in a short audio demo. Submit it as a group with one person presenting. Film a video pitch. Record an audio explanation. Or just describe it. We're listening for the idea, not the production.

If it excites you, it will excite us.

⭐ Before You Enter

Everything you need to know about Radiostar '26, your entry, and what we're looking for this year.

What is Radiostar?

Radiostar is an annual global search for fresh radio talent — people with ideas, personality, creativity, and the ability to make audio come alive. It's not about being perfect. It's about potential, originality, and the spark that makes great radio unforgettable.

How long has Radiostar been running?

Radiostar began in 2018, and since then we've crowned eight Radiostars — each one completely different, each one bringing something new to the industry. Radiostar '26 is our ninth edition.

Do I need to be on the radio already?

No. Radiostar is open to everyone — complete beginners, podcasters, students, creators, and people already on air. If you've got an idea and the passion to bring it to life, you can enter.

What's different about Radiostar '26?

This year is all about the pitch. We're looking for ideas, features, concepts, and moments that could blow the lid off the radio industry. Think of it like pitching a TV show or a new feature — but for radio. If you've ever thought, "Why doesn't radio do this?" — this is your moment.

Is there a winner?

Radiostar has never been about "winners" or "losers." There is only Radiostar '26 — one person who stands out, not because they beat others, but because they brought something new, bold, and unforgettable.

What do I need to submit?

You'll fill out the entry form, answer questions about your idea, and upload a short audio demo where you present your pitch. We want to hear your voice, your delivery, and your vision.

What kind of ideas are you looking for?

Anything that could bring energy, originality, or innovation to radio:

  • • A new feature
  • • A show concept
  • • A creative moment
  • • A format twist
  • • A storytelling idea
  • • Something that fills the silence between the songs
  • • Something radio hasn't tried yet

If it excites you, it will excite us.

Do I need professional equipment?

No. A phone recording is fine. We're listening for creativity, not production value.

Who judges Radiostar?

Radiostar is run by OnAirCoach, and the judging focuses on personality, originality, delivery, and the strength of your idea.
